What to Expect

First Presbyterian Church of Clarksville, is a place where people can experience the love of Jesus, engage in life-giving community and service, and where everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts, and use them for God's glory.

We worship in our beautiful sanctuary at 213 Main St. that was constructed 150 years ago. Worship takes place on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. and typically lasts an hour. 

Come to Fellowship Hall before worship for coffee and snacks, hanging out, and meeting new people. Childcare is available as well as Sunday School groups for all ages.

Our worship style is traditional, but we aren't a bunch of stuffed shirts. We follow the reformed model for liturgy (the order of worship), prayer, Scripture, preached word, music (led by organ and choir) and congregational response.

We seek to magnify the glory of God and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in ways that challenge the mind, nourish the spirit, honor tradition, demonstrate liturgical depth, exercise creativity through music and the arts, and address the needs of individuals and communities today.

The parking lot at the corner of 3rd and Main St. is FREE for Sunday Worship until 11:15 and every Second Sunday until 12:15.
Parking is also free for weddings, funerals, and other church events.
