Wednesday Night Faith Focus

A lab for worship and work.

Faith Focus is a congregational boots-on-the-ground laboratory for connecting our worship and work. Faith Focus aims to renew our church and community by cultivating deeper faith, spiritual growth, supportive relationships, gratefulness, and service. We have the opportunity to grow in our faith through weekly dinners that facilitate fellowship, presentations that expand our mindsets, exercises that help us put faith into action, and moments to testify about what God is doing through us in the world. This program is made possible from August 2023 through May 2024 through a Vital Worship Grant from the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, Grand Rapids, Michigan, with funds provided by Lilly Endowment Inc.

When: Every Wednesday (unless otherwise notified), 5:00–6:30 p.m.
Where: Fellowship Hall at FPC
What to Expect:
  • Dinner provided (donations appreciated) for all attendees at 5:00.
  • The meal is followed by open time for testimony about what God is doing in our lives.
  • A presenter, someone new each week, speaks on a topic relating to everyday life and faith for about 20 minutes.
  • Guided discussion and activities in small groups conclude the program.
  • Participants are sent out with a "Practicing Our Faith" exercise to help us apply what we learned to our week.
Children: Children may go out for nursery or activities after dinner. The activities for older children and youth parallel the presentation topic of the night.
