Room in the Inn

About Room in the Inn

In coordination with other congregations in Clarksville-Montgomery County, Room in the Inn provides safe shelter, warm meals, and fellowship for our neighbors struggling with homelessness during the coldest months of the year. First Presbyterian Church can accommodate 10 males, six women, and families. Our program utilizes male and female innkeepers, linen distributors, meal preparers, and drivers. We are blessed to have volunteers from many groups within our church including Presbyterian women, young adults, choir members, Friendship Class, as well as many individuals. Additionally we partner with other organizations who are not able to participate on their own. Pastor Stewart Salyer from Bethel Presbyterian Church provides transportation for our guests to and from the Old Fire House. The Chi Alpha Fraternity from APSU provides male innkeepers. The spirit of Christian love is experienced by guests and volunteers.
